Personal Profiles;
I had some problems with my profiles as the person who I was going to film on Saturday called me late on Friday night to cancel. with so little time left to film I chose to use one of my friends who would let me film him, however, he did not want his face on camera, and also I am not to use his full name. With these details in mind, and no chance of another person who I could profile in such a short time I decided that I should try to pull this off in an artistic manner. With any luck I will be able to...

Tokyo Postcards
This is my first completed film, and mostly I see this as a learning experience. I have kind of gotten Final Cut Pro figured out and I now know several things which I need to work on.
the first would be to not lose my edited materials, that was a problem, but I was able to eventually retrieve much of it.
Also I think that I need to film more back ground and B roll footage.
I also still have some trouble with my sounds.
Again this was a major learning experience and I am pretty happy with how this film turned out.

Work in Progress
Tokyo Postcards;
I have been working on this project for a few weeks now, and the editing is actually going very well. Learning how to edit at the same time as learning the editing system (Final Cut Pro)is quite exciting for me as it is a completely new experience and I feel that I am learning a lot.
project details
We were asked for this project to create a digital post card of Tokyo using three interviews as well as both film and photographs.
My specific project is "What is Tokyo" asking that one simple question to my three people and seeing there responses. My interviewees were as follows; a- A Temple University student who has been in Japan since August 2009. b- an expat who is half Japanese and half British, who has just moved to Tokyo. c- a first time travler to Japan who was to be here for a short time.
I did not have an exact plan of action concerning my photos or the exact way that I would be editing this piece as two of my subjects only wished to be recorded, rather than filmed. I think because of this i will not use a talking head for any of my characters, but rather use video of people moving and talking in different areas of the city as well as my photos for my "b" roll.
